Nintendo today confirmed that Splinter Cell: Blacklist will launch on Wii U in North America on August 20 alongside the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions. The game will release in the United Kingdom on August 23.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist for Wii U will make use of the GamePad for "enhanced gameplay features." According to the screenshot at right, one such feature is using the controller to manipulate a snake camera.
Nintendo also today revealed that a pair of Planes tie-in titles will release exclusively for the Wii U and 3DS. Due out August 6 (three days before the film hits theaters), the games expand the storyline of Planes, allowing players to control one of the characters from the animated film.
